#Showbiz: BTS' Jung Kook drops latest solo single 3D today

KUALA LUMPUR: International popstar Jung Kook of K-pop titan BTS has released his second solo digital single 3D (feat. Jack Harlow) today via global fandom life platform Weverse.

Jung Kook makes his highly-anticipated return two months after the start of his solo journey with Seven (feat. Latto), which landed at No.1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No.3 on the UK Official Chart.

3D is an R&B pop track that employs a witty use of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd dimensions to express one's desire to be connected with someone.

His agency BigHit Music said: "Following Seven, the new track will showcase Jung Kook's growth as a solo artiste."

On the day of the announcement of 3D last Saturday, Jung Kook set another milestone as the first South Korean solo artiste to headline the Global Citizen Festival.

The event, held at New York City's Central Park in the USA, saw the versatile idol performing his solo tracks, Euphoria and Still With You, as well as Seven, which featured a surprise guest appearance from Latto herself.

Jung Kook also performed a medley of BTS hits, which included Permission To Dance, Dynamite and Butter.

He closed his set with a video that provided a first look to his single 3D.

During an interview with Global Citizen, Jung Kook remarked on his participation and said, "Thank you for taking action to be here tonight. Let's keep making an impact together to make sure everyone, everywhere has access to their basic rights.

Global Citizen is a social action platform for a global generation that aims to solve the world's biggest challenges.

Meanwhile, the music video to 3D has already garnered over 2 million views since its release today.

According to Soompi, Jung Kook said: "3D is a charming song that's well-suited to showcasing a dance performance."

"I think it'd be good to focus on the performance together with the song.

"Because the choreography is repetitive and addictive, I hope that many people will enjoy it through short-form videos," he said.
